FUND RAISING

As has been mentioned elsewhere, a lot of money needs to be raised to provide the new Hall, requiring a lot of Fund Raising. Various events are held at the Hall throughout the year, with contributions also being received from some 'outside events' put on by some of the users of our Hall.

How may you help? Firstly by attending some or all of these fund raising events (usually shown in red on the Diary page) or, perhaps, by coming up with a suggestion of your own. If you do have an idea that would help raise the money then please contact any member of the Committee who will be very pleased to hear from you.

Roger Allcock, who was the excellent lead guitar player at The Shadows evening in the Hall on 13th February 2010, has a website where he sells CDs that he has recorded. The CDs have a complete track and a backing track version of each tune, ideal for musicians or for those wanting to practice their karaoke! You can also listen to soundclips of each track here. Roger sells these for £10 each and if you mention to him that you are buying as a result of visiting his site through reading about it here, he will donate £3 to the Hall for every CD sold. Roger will also make to order compilations of favourite tracks, with up to twenty on a CD.
